MUSIC
Poetry, dance, music, storytelling, and colorful, bright wear lie at the heart of Tajik culture. One of the most popular Tajik dances is Qarsak-e Panjshir. Some important singers in Tajik culture in Afghanistan include Hangama, Mir Maftoon, Ghezal Enayat, Sharafat Parwani, Mozhdah Jamalzada, Taher Shubab, Amir Jan Sabori, Shahla Zaland.
FOOD
Delicious, hearty, mouth-watering food is also central to Tajik culture. Some hallmark dishes include manto, palau, tandoori bread, shorba, boolani, kichiri qoroot. Tajiks’ favorite drinks include green or black tea (chai),doogh, and sheerchai (or shoorchai in Badakhshan).

NOWRUZ
Important Tajik holidays include Nowruz (the New Year) and Shab-e Yalda. On Nowruz, people prepare Haft Miwe This year, Nowruz, 1401 or 2022, was different. Read more about Nowruz here.
